Get Kids Outside.
A nonprofit organization based in the Wood River Valley, Idaho BaseCamp cultivates personal responsibility, courage, respect, and connection through transformative outdoor adventure education.
Build your Inner BaseCamp.
Idaho BaseCamp gets kids outside to to develop the next generation of confident, empathetic, and kind leaders.
Through the development of our core values, we build an "Inner BaseCamp" — our sense of personal responsibility, courage, confidence, and respect defining the internal compass that helps us navigate life.

It can be a challenging world out there, and young people often bear the brunt of societal pressures and shifts. At Idaho BaseCamp, we believe in the power of connection with self, others, and nature through intentional play, curiosity, exploration, and community. Our set of values remain consistent throughout the five distinct programs we currently offer to get kids outside.

“The magic of IBC is that children learn about the wilderness through play. I have seen through the experience of so many children, including my own, that it builds confidence, and most importantly, a powerful affinity with Nature.”

"IBC has always taught our kids great values but I really could see this summer how the new responsibilities of taking care of little kids really helped them build confidence and mature. They also just love being part of the IBC community.
Thanks to all of you for all you do."
