This after-school enrichment outdoor adventure program begins in 1st grade and aims to cultivate children's understanding of animals, plants and the significance of environmental stewardship and conservation. Designed to evolve alongside the students, the program continues until 12th grade. Participants will acquire not only developmental skills and cooperation but also a profound sense of respect for themselves, others, and the surrounding environment.

The OHL program is for Wood River Middle School students. It fosters the personal growth of these youth and their communities by providing weekly adventures and an engaging curriculum, where Spanish-speaking teachers and mentors impart outdoor and leadership skills.

At our Roots Campus, we provide early childhood education through Sprouts Kinderschool, an immersive and creative learning program inspired by the Waldorf approach. Geared towards children aged 4.5 to 6 years old, our program fosters active and hands-on learning both inside the classroom and in outdoor settings. By engaging in diverse methods of exploration, children integrate various ways of understanding the world. Our curriculum offers a vibrant and up-to-date blend of academics, art, music, drama, handwork, and movement, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience.

“The magic of IBC is that children learn about the wilderness through play. I have seen through the experience of so many children, including my own, that it builds confidence, and most importantly, a powerful affinity with Nature.”

"IBC has always taught our kids great values but I really could see this summer how the new responsibilities of taking care of little kids really helped them build confidence and mature. They also just love being part of the IBC community.

Thanks to both of you for all you do."
